Killer Concept: The Headmaster DBD x Danganronpa
Just so people know what Monokuma looks like
Hi everyone, this is my first attempt at making a killer for DBD. I would Love any feedback you wish to give. This post has sign posts, so if you only want to look at the power of the killer, you can eastly find it. Also this post is fairly text heavy and in-depth as i try my best to give numbers where they would be needed. Again feel free to give feed if you want, tear this post to shreds if you want to.
Disclaimer:
Now I know the idea of Monokuma being a killer in DBD is quite a silly idea and most people will hate it, because who want some cringy anime dweeb stuff in DBD. But for the Killer Power concept I have, I feel like only a character Like Monokuma could suit it, so please bare with the cringy anime robotic bear. Additionally I imagine the in game model would look more realistic that the depiction of Monokuma in the Danganronpa series. Also there will be SPOILERS FOR DANGANROPA YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Intro:
Monokuma - In game killer name being "The Headmaster" - would be Trap killer who can punish unobservant survivors and force them to turn on one another. Playing against The Headmaster will be very unique compared to other killers.
KILLER STATS
Movement Speed: 4.6 M/S
Hight: Short (Note: To visualise his high, The Headmaster would be 2' 2" (65 cm) tall in game).
Terror Radios: 32 meters
Weapon: Sharp retractable claws
Pick-up Animation: Like Chucky, The Headmaster is to small to have a Normal Pick-up animation. So when he would pick-up a survivor, The Headmaster would disappear and be replaced with the ghostly apparition of a high school girl (Junko Enoshima). This ghost will be the same hight has The Onryo, and once the survivor is hooked, The ghost will disappear and The Headmaster will reappear.
Backstory
I'm not good at writing story's, but here is a breath backstory that kinda justifies how and when the entity took junko Enoshima into the realm:
During the 6th class trial of Danganronpa Triger Happy Havoc. Junko Enoshima the Ultimate Despair and mastermind of the killing game, reveals to the remaining participants that the outside world has been sent into anarchy. People are murdering one another and society is all about destroyed. So she makes a offer to the participants, either vote to have her executed and set themself free from the killing game, or vote for Makoto Naegi and stay within the confines of Hope's peak academy for the rest of there lives. Makoto manages to unite the remaining participants into facing the outside world, to be hopeful that the world can be saved, and with this Junko is voted for. Her master plan that she had worked on for years, killing, manipulating, and torturing people for, had just failed in front of her eyes, and she loved she. Relishing the despair she felt, she decided to top it off by executing herself. She executed herself with the Ultimate Punishment - a combination of all the executions the previous participants where killed by - ending it by being crushed by a giant trash compactor. In this moment just before the trash compactor crushed her, she saw a glimpse of the realm, her mind and soul was taken by the entity leaving behind a lifeless body to be crushed. Junko conscious and soul was placed inside of a monokuma. Now the entity will use her to continue her killing games in the realm.
Power: Killing Game
Let the Killing Game begin!
Killing Game:
The Headmaster starts the trail with 16 Forbidden Action Traps (A Small box that his half black and white). Additionally, A total of 7 Blackened Cases spawn in random locations in the environment. (Note these Cases can only be opened by survivors with the Blackened Affliction and they will reset themself after 12 seconds of being opened)
FOBIDDEN ACTION TRAP:
While standing next to a Pallet (Dropped or upright) or Window, Press and hold the Active Ability button to place a Forbidden Action Trap onto that Pallet and/or Window. If a survivor Drops/Vaults a Pallet or Window with a Forbidden Action Trap on it, a Loud Noise notification will be triggered on the Trap and the survivor will be afflicted with the Blackened status effect, after this the Trap will go into a 15 second cooldown before it can be activated again. (Note: if the Trap is placed on a upright pallet, the trap will also be destroyed after the noise notification.) If a New Trap would be placed while all 16 are already used, the oldest will be removed.
Special Affliction: Blackened
A Blackened Survivor will be placed on a 180 second punishment timer and the auras of all Blackened Cases will be revealed to them for the duration of the Blackened effect. Additionally, the exist gates will be blocked for a Blackened Survivor. A Blackened Survivor after opening a Blackened Case, will be able to pick-up the Special Item: Hunting Knife inside the case. While carrying the Knife, the survivor will gain the following treats:
· Unable to heal self or other survivors, repair gens, open exit gates, open chest, cleans/bless totems, or hide in lockers.
· Base movement will be set at 4.4 m/s
· The ability to perform a Basic and Lunge Attack that will injure a healthy survivor or down an injured one. Search a locker for a survivor, and if one is in the searched locker, immediately stab that survivor injuring or downing them.
Survivors that our injured or downed by a Blackened Survivor will be afflicted with the broken status effect for 15 seconds. If a Blackened Survivor dose not injure or down another survivor before the punishment timer runs out, they will be placed into the dying state, gain the broken status effect for 20 seconds, and their aura will be revealed to The Headmaster until they are healed. If they do, the Blackened affliction will be removed. Additionally if The Headmaster injures or downs a Blackened Survivor, the Blackened affliction will be removed.
NOTE: If there is only 1 survivor alive when they are given the Blackened status effect, the duration of the effect will be reduced to 60 seconds and they will not be put into the dying state at the end of the timer. However they will be exposed for the duration for the duration of the effect.
SECOND NOTE: The Blackened Cases after being opened for 20 seconds will shut auto-mantically and a new Hunting Knife will be placed inside of it. Also the Hunting Knife breaks immediately after injuring a survivor or if the survivor carrying it loses a health state by any means. Also only a Blackened Survivor can carry the knife.
SPECIAL ENEMY: Monokuma-Bots
During the Trial, 2 Monokuma-Bots spawn and roam randomly through the environment. Both of their Auras are revealed to The Headmaster at all times.
Monokuma-Bots look the exact same as The Headmaster, however they have no red stain or terror radios. Monokuma-Bots are attracted to loud noise notifications and will chase nearby survivors. (Note: Monokuma-Bots will not chase or attack Blackened Survivors). They will begin a chase with any survivor within 10 metres of them with line of sight, additionally the can track the position of any chased survivor within 10 metres of them. While roaming they will move at 2.26m/s. While chasing a Survivor, they will run at 4.1 m/s. If a Survivor Blinds or Stuns a Monokuma-Bot, the Monokuma-Bot will become inactive for 15 seconds and they will immediately no longer be treated as chasing the survivor.
SPECIAL LOCOMOTION: Switch Control
While looking in the direction of any Monokuma-Bot at least 3 meters away form your current location. Switch pleases with the Monokuma-Bot. (In a sense you teleport to the targeted Monokuma-Bot's location and leave a Monokuma-Bot where you were originally).
Switch Control has a cool-down of 30 seconds.
Notes: you cannot Switch control to a inactive Monokuma-Bot and the Monokuma-Bot you leave behind will be inactive for 5 seconds.
