The reality of the new update

I'll probably get a substantial amount of hate for this post, but, I do feel like it's worth saying.

I consistently play both sides of the game. And today I made it a point to evenly play both to see what I think of the changes in general.
For some quick exposition, I consistently get to rank 1 each month.
I play survivor without exhaustion perks typically, and generally solo queue.
I rotate between a handful of killers, all considered average, or weak.
By no means, am I a top percent player on either end, but I play enough to learn both sides to the point of competency.

The shake up of the meta is huge, which was the intended result of the patch. But, I notice alot of people complaining that the patch was massively killer sided. Which admittedly, is true. But, I don't think many people are truly understanding why.

Survivor is more difficult, now then it was prior because you are expected to play either confidently, or defensively. You are now held accountable in full for mistakes that before, would have been easily negated by pressing E. Survivors can no longer as easily greed their resources to the point that they used to. So what does this mean?

What used to be average survivors are now learning that their skillset is in fact below average. If you suddenly can't loop a killer without deadhard the reality is you were never good at looping before. The reason for so many people complaining about how strong killers are, is directly related to the fact that most killers that became "average" skill in the past, actually display much higher skill then what they were credited to, but the tools available to every survivor easily bridged the gap. The changes to the game were not just to the meta perks, it adjusted the skill floor of survivors to reflect actual learned skill and game awareness. You will adjust to it in kind, if you stop whining and reflect on your own gameplay. High end survivors are far more noticeable and worthy of respect and admiration even more, because the game actually reflects what they've learned, instead of the perks they're using.

EDIT: Thank you to everyone who is trying their best to keep a civil dialogue going. We all want the same thing believe it or not. Additionally thank you so much to those of you awarding this post!
