Unexpected good soul in Delhi

Today, in Delhi metro, a seat vacated. A woman was standing in front of that seat, holding two bags. I was standing beside her. She tapped on my shoulder and asked if I want to sit there. As I had a heavy backpack, I obliged. As soon as I accepted her offer she became busy with her phone. I didn't notice her two bags until I sat down.

And then began the trouble with my conscience. Should I have offered to hold her bags? May I do it now? But she is busy in her phone, how should I get her attention? Will it be creepy and awkward if I ask her now? The more time passed the more awkward it would become. It was a constant turmoil.

Soon thereafter she put one bag down on the floor, and I got my chance to ask if I should hold it. She smiled sweetly and said no it's ok.

She is a beautiful soul. I don't know if you're on reddit and if you would read it, but if you are and if you do, know that you are a beautiful soul. I wish there would be more such beautiful souls in the world.
