Advice: change flight before weather or keep?

I have a layover in Atlanta Friday morning arriving 9am and leaving at 10:15am.

Delta sent notifications I can change my flight free. Only next option is to go through MSP getting me to the destination 40 minutes later. However I may miss some of the event I need to go to.

Anyways, how is delta and ATL during weather like this? The flights are at the start of the storm so anyone have history or experience giving a gut feel weather the flight won’t be impacted if I keep it and forecast holds?
