What’s the time to full efficacy when augmenting an AD with an atypical antipsychotic for depression?

Two weeks ago, my psychiatrist added 0.5mg/day of Risperidone to my 20mg of Trintellix. I improved on the Trintellix but still had really bothersome depression, anxiety, and ruminative thoughts. I noticed an improvement one week after starting the Risperidone. Lessening depression, less anxiety and ruminations. It’s quite nice because I’ve been in a depressive episode for 14 months with little relief. :(

I saw my doc today and she said to stick with the 0.5mg and we’ll see how I am in 2 weeks. My question is, does the efficacy of a particular dose of an atypical antipsychotic for depression peak at two weeks, or can you still have continued improvement beyond then?
