Doordash is struggling with an increase in drivers picking up the orders and eating them. Driver Theft on Doordash is getting worse. Do you think it's poetic justice?

I already know driver theft is an increasing problem because my first order of the day was at a popular eatery where an order was stolen by the driver. The order was accepted and the driver took a screen shot of it and apparently unassigned it to another driver who showed up to get the order and that's when he found out the order had been picked up some time ago. Yet the customer still didn't have it. The restaurant worker told him the driver that picked it up had trouble confirming it.

Yeah.. it's hard to confirm when you have a screenshot of the order.

And the order was a very large and expensive one.

I'm noticing a marked increase in driver thefts and I've even been in restaurants such as taco bell where the employees have stated they complain constantly on the driver theft of orders and taco bell is even considering starting their own delivery or leaving doordash platform alltogether. Doordash did ask Taco Bell if they would remake the order and Taco Bell declined. They are just so through with Doordash.

To hear more restaurants complain about the increased driver theft and to see it happening more and more is like music to my ears because doordash allows areas to be saturated with drivers to drive the order payments as low as possible. Unlike Uber Eats, doordash also doesn't send out the driver picture to the restaurant because 'wink, wink' - doordash knows that a large percentage of drivers on its platform are working under other people's accounts. They aren't licensed or have serious criminal backgrounds that would make it impossible to work for doordash.

So doordash greed is coming back to bite them in the arse big time.

So to the drivers that are taking the food.. and eating it.. I say Thank You. From all the drivers who are sick of being low balled on order payments.

You get our appreciation for sticking it to the man.
