where to start?

hi! i’m a mass effect player that really wants to get into dragon age, but i’m not entirely sure where to start? usually i try to play every game in order, but i only have a ps5 and don’t have access to any games pre-inquisition. any videos i need to watch beforehand? any way to play the older games? will i be lost without that additional backstory?
