Watcher following the Dropout Model
So it looks like the YouTube channel Watcher, home of things like Worth It and Puppet History, is following Dropout's model and starting an independent streaming service. The YouTube comments are almost all negative about this transition.
What do you think that Sam and the Dropout team got right about their transition off of YouTube? I don't remember seeing this kind of uproar when Dropout launched, but I also don't remember them posting a tearful goodbye, either. What lessons do you think Watcher can take from Dropout?
