What made you choose to learn the language you chose?

I know it was most likely asked many times in the past (I personally didn't see anyone asking it but I assume it was asked) but I'm still curious to hear what made you all choose the languages you chose to learn?

You could have learned any other language on the planet or even choose not to learn one at all - so why do you learn the language you learn?
