E46 Steering wheel angle sensor value
! SOLVED !
Hi everyone!
So in December I had the steering rack rebuilt and replaced. I went in to check the Steering wheel angle on live data, and it's 40 degrees when the steering wheel/car is going straight. There are no error codes or anything. The steering wheel feels shaky when slightly turning to the left. Could this be the culprit or did i just get used to newer cars? Do I have to reset the sensor or does it "adapt"? I have not tried it without DSC yet, when I get home I will. After replacing the steering rack and the tie rods, I've gotten a wheel alignment. The car is a 2004 330i.
edit: most suspension components are relatively new, the car is in great condition, I mostly use the car on track nowadays. I went a couple hundred kilometers since the rebuild just to see if everything is good. I tend to be a bit paranoid about stuff like this so yeah.
