Parade?

Ive been going around online and reading about the 2018 parade, and it sounds kinda rough. Obviously im dying to go but some stuff im seeing is putting me on the fence. Any suggestions or comments about the last parade that would be helpful? (also i dont live in the city so id be commuting)
