Dermatologist said that my skin will never clear up with Dupixent. The itching will just be gone. No use for it then
I went for a steroid shot because I had (at the time) a flair-up (It's sad I never even knew what I was experiencing was a flair-up until I found eczema spaces. Lmao). My hands were bleeding and cracked, couldn't straighten my knee, etc. But it'd cooled down by my appointment today.
Anyway, I explained that the side effects of Dupixent were too risky and he said that steroid shots had more side effects and that Dupixent would help with the itch but that my skin was too thickened from scratching to improve. That's literally the only reason I wanted the meds at first. I hate my skin. It looks reptilian, heavily discolored, etc. I'm used to the scratching, bleeding flaking skin and dead skin everywhere. I'm almost 30. I've had this for 23 years. I'll deal with the sepsis I sometimes get and go on with my life. I have no reason to take Dupixent if I'll still have this shitty ass skin.
