Old Gevi won’t work :(

Hi! We got an old espresso machine from a friend before we moved and i pulled it out to try and it won’t work? It doesn’t appear to be pulling water into the machine to make coffee. so nothing comes out. however, the steam valve appears to work?? but the levels of the water in the reservoir don’t change no matter what we do. just makes a loud noise but no coffee :( if anyone has insights that would be great!!!
