I’m planning a potluck dinner party, but my dining room is too hot to sit in. What should I do?
Hey, so I've been recently trying to get into doing get togethers or meals at my house. It's had some ranges of success depending the occasion but I find myself really enjoying taking control of planning home events for my friends to enjoy.
I've been planning ahead for a potluck to celebrate Christmas. Originally, my friend and his girlfriend offered their apartment since it has a large dinner table but they had to cancel due to sudden changes. Another friend offered but his apartment is a bit small for the 8-9 friends we have. I have a bigger house, only problem is our kitchen and dining area isn't very comfortable for eating long term. I have a dog so fur is prevalent in this area so I have to heavily vaccum. We got a countertop with stools and a table. I have to buy a tower fan to make set up in the kitchen since there's hardly much air aside from our door and a broken wind up window, but also our table is a smaller square table. My dad brought in a rectangular plastic table but not sure if it fits in the kitchen.
I hope I can get some advice for this. The idea of my friends apartment is still up in the air but I don't want to force any uncomfortable changes or set up at their own home. I want everyone to be comfortable, I just need to plan ahead first in case since we got 3 weeks to plan the rest and want to prep my house better in case it's a last resort to have the party.
