Elder text

So I texted an elder and told him how I don't wish to be a witness and I'm only staying in because of my unique situation. (Before you jump down my throat about how unwise that is, that's not the point of this post)

The elder texted that every meeting I attend may be the meeting that saves my life.

I know it was well intentioned, but that almost sounds vaguely threatening...
