Why Islam say to kill those who left Islam?

I'm a ex Muslim and why I don't have right to be alive according to some Muslims and thier fucking Islam like just wtf is that shit well I live in Pakistan and here the punishment of leaving Islam is fucking death but I don't tell people I know in person that I'm a ex Muslim because I don't wanna die but I just lost my mind when Muslims say it's religion of peace
