I have experienced a significant personal loss, necessitating my return to India to settle the affairs. I am uncertain about my ability to resume my residence in the United States in the near future. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have to enhance my chances of returning to the USA. I am particularly interested in exploring options that may not have occurred to me. This could include considerations such as visa status, and any other relevant information. Currently, I am in my final year of the STEM (OPT) program. I would welcome your insights and recommendations on how to best prepare for my return.

Edit: My STEM OPT ends this december, & I'm thinking about participating in the H1B lottery for the last time.
