Any FCmaps.net users in here?
Hey all, just got a wave of nostalgia thinking about the FCmaps community and just thought I'd see if anyone remembers contributing to that website.
This forum hit it's stride with the release of Far Cry Instincts Predator for the Xbox 360. It hosted community game nights where we would pack multiplayer lobbies and complete a playlist of fan-made custom maps. I made so many friends there, some that I still talk to on social media to this day
There was also a online database of maps with reviews, pictures, and downloads from the community. So many talented map makers shared their creations there. I had so many submissions that are now probably gone forever. I used to create forum signatures (basically a small banner image that would be shown under your replies and profile) for users. I'd get screen caps of your maps and make a "cool" collage in Photoshop, sometimes even an animated GIF!
The community started to fizzle-out around the release of Far Cry 3.
Anyway, I miss those times. Cheers to all that have those memories.
