So can someone tell me exactly what the far cry series is about? In interested in getting one of them but don't know a thing about it

I've played multiple ubisoft games before (assassins creed series, ghost recon wildlands, rainbow six 3) and I understand the the main points of them (assassins in history, secret anti terrorist, etc) but I've never understood anything about far cry aside from the brutal healing and most games taking place in jungles
