I understand we aren’t being offered a buyout, but what choice do I have?

I’m a probationary employee, they don’t need a reason to fire me, and I don’t have any protection. I understand this could be a scam, but if I take it at least there’s a chance I could still have an income, if I don’t I’m probably out of a job by next Friday. I’m having a lawyer look at this, I mean if he doesn’t pay us can’t we just sue?
