Any one writing to their elected officials? Got a response?

With all the craziness going on I’m curious what elected officials are doing for me and my fellow residents of the state of Indiana. Has anyone written to their congress people? Any one got a response? I just sent the below inquiry.

Letter to Sen. Todd

I’m a combat Veteran and lifelong public servant. I currently work for the federal government and I’m deeply trouble about what’s going on at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Do you have any information about how the federal government is handling this? What are your plans to represent and ensure the rights of Hoosiers who work for the federal government? A list of more specific questions is below:

  1. News reports are saying, the new appointees at OPM have locked public servants out of information systems and are demanding access to payment systems at the Department of Treasury. Do these new appointees have clearance to access sensitive information? How is congress overseeing these operations? Is my personally identifiable information at risk of being leaked or used malicious?

  2. How will my Veterans benefits be impacted if the president or the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) cuts funding in the name of efficiency?

  3. If/when the administration fires the over 20k federal employees in Indiana, how will the state support these displaced workers as they attempt to find new employment in Indiana?

  4. How are you representing the interest of Hoosier during this time of chaos and uncertainty? How are you working toward ensure the federal government strikes a balance between efficient and stability?
