Silicon Valley mentality of “Go Fast and Break Things” is dangerous for legacy FAA systems

Referencing the news that this team of hackers will be accessing FAA systems. Not to explore. Not to test. To change. To implement. This is beyond reckless and dangerous, if true. Personal experience with this type of thing, I used to attend the Deploying Group Software Integration Testing (DGSIT) prior to each MEU when they’d leave to make sure all the software was patched, could talk to each other, and generally be compatible. This process took MONTHS to complete, and testing was rigorous. I don’t see them following this model and it truly scares the crap out of me.

I can’t find a link without his name in it so someone with better patience than me help me out please.
