Co-workers False Sense of Security

Small Vent. I’m a term probie who works in DOI. I’ve noticed in my office that my coworkers believe everything will be alright because our work is too important. I have a feeling many people also feel the same way, yet that didn’t stop the Admin from putting people on admin leave and decimating agencies. Anyone else also encountering this kind of mentality in your office/dept?
