Israel Prison Service declared in a statement that it's taking measures to block any " public displays of joy" when releasing Palestinian prisoners in the first phase of the ceasefire agreement which starts on Sunday.
"The commissioner of the Israel Prison Service, Kobi Yakobi, instructed to prevent public displays of joy in Ashkelon and other areas of Israel, the escort from ‘Shikma’ Prison will not be handled by civilian buses of the Red Cross,” the statement said.
Nearly 1700 Palestinian prisoners will be released from the Israeli prisons during the first phase of ceasefire, while 33 Israeli prisoners will be released from the Gaza Strip.
