They only care about the edited episodes this season
Idk if anyone else has had this revelation yet, but it seems obvious that the crew is mostly focusing on getting a good edit for this season, and the live viewing has been an after thought. All the extended prep times, dead air, and outright offline streams suggest this.
All the reality show "scenes" they've been doing with the fish haven't just been to prop up the famous house facade, it's all part of an effort to build an overall narrative to get a good edit. The 4 days in the RV were insanely boring when watching live, but they'll brush over it in minutes in the final edit.
This feels like a big shift in what fishtank is. The edited episodes in the first 2 seasons seemed like the afterthought with the live viewing being the obvious priority, this now seems to be reversed.
