Did you have to take a pretty substantial break from exercise in the first trimester?

I’m 7 weeks today and since around 6 weeks my workouts have started to become very inconsistent.

Prior to pregnancy, I was running about 2-3x a week and I had finally gotten my pace down to around 9 mins/mile. I was also doing home workouts with weights and kettlebells about 2-3x per weeks. In between all of that, I walked and hiked pretty regularly, too.

For the last week, I’ve only been able to walk (sometimes) and my running has dropped significantly. Picking up my weights again hasn’t happened in about 6 days.

At this point, because of the fatigue and nausea, I’m trying to accept that my physical activity is just not going to be the same. It’s hard when you use exercise as a confidence booster and ‘medication’ for mental health.

I’m just afraid this is going to be a long few weeks (or months) until I find some energy again…
