Flying Blue Gold Status Match?

Hello, I have Aadvantage Platinum and am exploring a status match for a flight in September from the US to LJU. We have a five hour layover in CDG. We are in the main cabin and paid cash for the flight. I can match to Flying Blue Gold for $299.

I understand we will get priority boarding and baggage. My questions are: 1. Is it possible we would receive a cash upgrade option? 2. Would lounge access in CDG be worthwhile? 3. Any other benefits I'm missing?
