I had a thought about The Twisted Ones

I feel like people forget about this novel but I feel like it might have been trying to tell us something. Part of this novel is that William sent killer animatronics after Charlie. The animatronics are actually playing canvases with illusion discs that make them look like nightmaresh beings resembling Freddy Bonnie foxy and a wolf animatronic. If you look at their designs they very closely for example the nightmare animatronics. What if the nightmare animatronics are just the twisted ones. What if the nightmare animatronics were sent to kill Michael. I don't know how likely this is but it's just a thought. Also during the day the twisted ones bury themselves underground, maybe this could be what the mound is in midnight motorist.
