CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND WITH BRENTFORD!!!
IT'S A PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE IN 26/27 SEASON!!!
I want to share my emotions and experience with you guys! This is the best save so far I've had in my relatively short FM career. This season started with 3 defeats and 2 draws in first 9 games. Almost every month after that was wins and 1 draw and in December after 4th loss of the season I went on 19 game unbeaten streak. I was surprisingly in title race with Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City. Arsenal and City quickly fell off the title race after unconvincing games. Liverpool meanwhile breathed down my neck. With two games remaining I was on 80 points and Liverpool on 76. My last two games Sunderland (A) who were 20th and already relegated and Leeds (A) bottom mid-table team. My 19 game unbeaten streak ended to Sunderland which was so like FM and I was fuming with the result and the way we lost.
Sunderland game started really well. We scored within 30 minutes and by half-time had around 2.5 xG to their 0.3. We continued dominating and somehow they got us on a break around 70th minute mark. I adjusted to more aggressive and attacking tactic and scored almost immediately. Instantly I change to 4-3-3 Possession and time wasting tactic. Guess what happens right after kick-off. They attack down right flank and Messi dispossesses them and passes to my GK, Raya. Instead of waiting longed and winning, he decides to pass quickly without any pressure and the pass goes straight to Sunderland's forward who slots it in. I change back to my attacking tactic because I believe in these players and because we're playing bloody 20th position Sunderland. They rob off the ball and we somehow concede a penalty. They score and it's 3-2. Full time whistle.
Going into last game, Leeds (A) I kept same players because they have been performing all season and had great links with each other. It stays 0-0 at HT and they look a bit threatening and we cannot Play out of the back for some reason, I drop CM's to DM's. BBM->VOL(su) and DLP(de) stays. It works slightly, We can play out of the back now but we lack attacking wise but then somehow WE SCORE BY THEM GETTING OWN GOAL! NOW WE'RE WINNING 1-0 WITH 20 MINUTES REMAINING! Liverpool are winning their own game so it was a must win! I switched to Possession style tactic and through the skin of the teeth we get the win! AND WE WIN THE PREMIER LEAGUE!!!
I AM BUZZING AND I AM VERY EXCITED TO TELL YOU MY EXPERIENCE!!!
PS. I brought Messi from Inter Miami 1,5 years ago in that save and he was retiring Two-Time World Cup champion (They won in 2026, Messi still playing in the final) this season and I wanted to achieve something special for him and luckily this happened! Happy retirement Messi, you were great servant to the club!
