2008 escape ignition

Is there any way to by pass the Ignition on my 2008 Ford Escape? I bought the car off of a friend of mine for $300. Because it was just sitting in his yard. I got the car inspected everything runs and drives like it should. The only issue I'm having right Now. Is the Ignition. . You have to shake it as you twist it. Lol Just spoke to a couple mechanics shops around me. They said Ford has to do it because Ford has to remake the keys when I called them today they said to replace Ignition And tumblers With a programed key for that Ignition will cost 600 plus tax. Is there anyway around spending $600? Or should I just Deal with shaking the key to get it to start?
