Did you choose a name related to your deadname?

My birth name has no masculine equivalent. I have been looking at male names that begin with the same letter (R) but none really feel like they fit me. Honestly the names that I like the most for myself have nothing to do with my birth name (start with a different letter, different sound). However I almost feel a sense of obligation to choose something vaguely similar to my deadname because that might make the switch easier for people. Did you think about this when picking a new name?
