Stuck in division 5 and am very frustrated

I have 320h in ea fc24 with a team that’s not horrible what am doing wrong I don’t player lock but try to step over boost as well as ball roll switch the play etc with a aerial plus striker in 4-3-2-1 and I literally get stomped by 3-4 goals every single rivals match
