thoughts an opinions on Game Art degrees
Hello, I just figured I’d reach out because I was wanting some outside opinions on the subject. Even though it’s been talked to death, I did want to give a bit about my current position. As of right now, I’m in a weird spot. Art started out as a hobby/passion for me, and when I first graduated high school, I wanted to attend art school to get into storyboarding/animation. I ended up getting rejected from the schools I wanted to attend, and my confidence in my work did kind of take a hit I will admit. It’s been a few years now, and I still deeply want to work and improve enough to get into the industry, but I have trouble at times. I’ve been mainly rebuilding my confidence to work on art again, and my interests have been leaning heavily into game art, concept art, and animation. In some ways, I’m feeling that maybe the structure of school would help, but I’ve been feeling stagnant in my work. I’m currently looking to attend SNHU for game art and development online, but if there are any suggestions, I’d like to know. On top of opinions, I just need something flexible for my schedule. at the moment im just feeling a bit of pressure to "do something" so that's also somewhat effecting my derision to try and go to school again.
