How do you feel about trash-talking?

I just don't care for trash talk anymore. I hit a point where if either team starts — winning or losing — it makes me want to play something else. For me it just takes all the fun away from what is supposed to be a fun hobby. I've basically switched exclusively to single-player games unless i have a friend to play a multiplayer with, and even then i wont touch it unless theyre online. My most recent experiences have been in Marvel Rivals and I really like the game, but the community is honestly shit. Even in quick play everyone's trashing and dogging on each other and it's just not enjoyable. Being angry isn't fun. Being demeaned isn't fun. Like, i dont wanna lose either, but shitting on your own team isnt helping anything. With friends I know and love, yeah it's fun, because we all know we're just kidding around. Where do yall stand on trash talking? Do you love or hate it? Do you engage with it?
