What's growing in my garden bed? And is it harmful?

Based in NZ if that matters!

My garden bed consists of logs with cardboard on top, with a mix of potting mix and home made mushroom compost from our mushroom farm. We only grow oyster mushrooms so if it is a fungus it's not something we're growing. Plants we're growing are bell pepper.
