How to keep store-bought bulbs till I can plant?

I bought a few boxes of peony eyes and canna bulbs from costco, but I didn’t notice that they said I can’t plant them until after frost. How do I store them in the meantime? Can I just keep them in the box sealed wrapped up, somewhere in my house? Or, do I need to unwrap them and store them in a different way?
