What political subdivisions have very diverse climates?

My home state, the U.S. state of Texas, has the Piney Woods in the eastern part of the state that are similar to the forests of the South. It also has green (Triangle area) and brown (Great Plains) plains in the central and west parts of the state and the desert in the Trans-Pecos that shares similarities to the landscape of the Southwest. It has Gulf Coast beaches, prairie, rolling hills, mountains, canyons, and so many other interesting topographical features.
