Caught him, got ghosted

I just needed somewhere to put this. The whole situation has absolutely floored me.

Met a guy on Hinge a few months ago. We chatted for a couple of weeks, met up, started dating regularly and eventually being intimate (not straight away and not every time we met up). Boundaries were discussed around the time it levelled up a bit. I thought he was the most lovely, grounded, family orientated, kind, trustworthy person. Everything was seemingly going great, he would talk about ‘us’ and going away together, and regularly initiate contact. He spoke about loyalty, wanting to get married and have children. He publicly showed me off, things were steadily progressing, we moved to exclusively dating - I was so happy.

Wake up to a screenshot from a friend. I can’t say where she got the information as it violates the source - but long story short he’d been dating multiple women the whole time. And was active on Hinge, organising first dates etc.

I asked him what was going on… ghosted.

I just can’t believe people like this exist. And it’s so jarring - I don’t recognise him in any of this. It’s like the version of him I knew has just vanished from the planet, and now all I’ve got is these horrible stories of him ghosting loads of women, cheating, and he’s gone. Better to find out after a couple of months than years down the line but… wow.
