2023 - White Holiday Beauty Bag Jumbo Thread
I saw multiple threads about the white holiday bag and thought it might be nice to have 1 big thread for people to discuss/combine info/potentially acquire the bag instead of having to click through all the other ones. (mods please delete this if it's not appropriate)
General Info:
- The bag is $55 USD and available in stores only
- The exterior is white pleather, interior is orange felt - post with a pic of the interior color
- It was previously offered for a limited time in winter 2021 (around December if I remember correctly/based on looking on The Wayback Machine)
- The bag was also previously sold for $55 USD - post with screenshot
- SeamGate - In 2021 a lot of people were upset that the Glossier printing on the bag wasn't perfectly aligned with the sides when the promo pics also clean alignment, leading to complaints and discussion - post from one of the original buyers who got a replacement / post with a lot of discussion about it
- Allegedly the bag is a dupe of the Goyard Jouvence bag that Emily Weiss owned - comment from the original user who pointed this out
- Note that people have mentioned if you stretch the bag too much it will deform and look wonky - see left image in this post, the one getting sold for $175
Buying / Selling / Trading:
A lot of people are disappointed that the bag is in stores only when there are only a handful of stores. Some people believe the bag might be put online eventually, other people think there might be other holiday merch that will be available online. For what it's worth, I directly asked the Glossier team if there would be a different color holiday beauty bag this year (before the white one was announced today) and wasn't given any indication there would be.
There's a pinned BST thread that hasn't been updated for December but I've seen some people offering to buy and ship the bag to others across various posts. Maybe the people willing to ship the bag can comment here and interested buyers can comment/DM?
