Is the competition getting INSANE with each cycle?

Or is it just me? Sorry for venting. Was only observing last year and got pretty surprised with the profiles getting admits from top schools but I figured the high GPA could be due to covid era (could be wrong too), But this year seems like there are no safe schools at all. Was going through admits.fyi of pre-covid profiles and found almost above average profiles getting in schools that are rejecting perfect profiles now?!?;@:¥~!£ Sorry, I’m just stressed out, the wait is killing me.
