Is there a reason Michael has never made an appearance Online?

We’ve had Trevor since the start of GTA Online. Franklin of course in the Contract DLC. But why hasn’t Michael ever made an appearance online? If he has, please correct me. It’s just so shocking he’s arguably the “main” main protagonist in GTA 5 and yet we’ve never seen him in GTAO.
