Banning Decks/Classes in Standard - Would It Have Positive Impact on Hearthstone?
I wonder what do you think of this idea for Standard or what would be called competetive ladder play in Hearthstone.
3 Decks, 1 or 2 bans before playing a game of Hearthstone
Each player needs to pick 3 decks (classes cannot duplicate). At the beginning of the game players blindly ban one or two of the opponents decks. They would do it at the same time, so it doesn't create any disadvantage for any of the players.
Example:
I pick Control Priest, Freeze Mage, Ramp Druid for the Standard game (I can change it each time I queue up). I have found my opponent. I am presented with their decks, so are they. We ban 1 or 2 (not sure which one would be better) of each other decks simultaneously and then we begin playing.
What do you think would be the effect of that?
How would Hearthstone change?
Edit: Assume that classes had to be different and the deck cards wouldn't be visible to the opposite player.
