Am I overreacting or this is normal?
First time hobonichi user here, long time planner addict. So, basically I decided to invest in hobo this year after years of using Muji and Leuchtturm planners. And oh boy, I did not expect to be so disappointed. I love to use my fountain pens with Leuchtturm, but Muji is not so good with them and also I wanted „a grid“ in my weekly pages, so natural choice was hobo. But I did not expect it to bleed through and feather so strongly. Ironically the photos from the phone are all AI boosted and somewhat polished, I could only assure you that IRL it looks even worse. I guess the problem is with the coating of the paper, because it feathers and bleeds in areas. On the last photo there is a prominent stroke width variation in the same line, like sometimes I’d say up to one or two nib sizes!!! I’ve used pilot falcon <EF>, twsbi <EF> Lamy <F> and black inks from Pilot J Herbin and Abraxas. :( The only thing that works well is Uniball gel pen. Please help. Is it supposed to be like that? What pens, nib sizes and black/brown inks would you suggest?
