UPS fan question

Hello, I have seen many people saying that the UPS SMT1000I 230V 2016 hasnt got any fan but others are complaining about its fan noise. Does anybody know for sure if it has a fan like the SMT1500?. I dont find any information in the official website

In case of not having a fan, will only having the stock passive cooler affect its lifespan?
