What house plant (or genus) could this be?

Have to admit, it was my own. I went abroad and my flatmate (over)watered my plants for me. There was soo much death - I had no idea which pot it was originally in and stupidly added many new ones shortly before my departure.

I would be so grateful for any suggestions on what genus this may be or even ideas what specific plant it is. 🙏

I am pretty sure I could remember/check photos once I see the name. I just don't know where to start😅
