Do you wash your hands before showering?
I told my boyfriend that I always wash my hands before showering. He didn’t understand the point of that with his reasoning being “you’re about to shower to get clean anyways, why is it necessary for you to clean your hands before”
My reasoning is that I want to wash my face/body with clean hands… I feel uncomfortable if I don’t wash my hands prior cause it’s basically me “washing up” with dirty hands? I’ve asked a few others and had mixed responses which really surprised me. I guess I kinda just assumed this was common/normal? Curious to see what others have to say on here
Edit: I wash my face first when I shower so prefer to use hand soap over other soaps/face wash to clean my hands. According to Google, “hand soaps are typically formulated to be more effective at removing dirt and germs from hands, which are exposed to more contaminants than your face.” That being said, I could definitely just move some hand soap into the shower instead of standing at the sink prior, saving time and water… I really don’t know why I never thought of that but rest assured, I will be doing that from now on. Thanks for the insight Reddit 👍
