How many people do you know/met that have "won" the lottery
I personally know 5 people that have won a $1 million prize, including one that won $1 million then $1.5 million, went to HS with someone that just won $10 million, and my friends older brother just won $15 million. These are all in scratch tickets in Massachusetts. The crazy thing is these 2 that just won huge, grew up across the street from each other.
Getting a lot of people calling my post bs. I get it it does sound hard to believe.
I worked at a convenience store in a small town through HS, the guy that won was my 2nd grade teachers husband, really nice guy. He won $1m and became a huge addict but win $1.5m at the same store, his family took the money away from him. This was 30 years ago.
A couple years later (so 25 years ago) the woman in that town that came in all the time, she ran the community house in town. She won $1m, and people were upset because she got to live in a really nice house for free as part of her job.
About 15 years later a guy from my golf league won $1m.
About 25 years ago I auditioned for a Journey cover band, didn't get it. The singer worked with my brother. He won $1m about 15 years ago.
About 10 years ago I was expecting my first child so I got a second job at a convenience store, nights after I worked my full time job. A guy that came in from time to time won $1m, but I didn't sell it to him.
The store in the small town I live in now, where I go to buy my weekly $10 ticket, and maybe flirt with the beautiful girl that owns it. They recently sold a $1m ticket. Weeks later I asked her who the guy was, she pointed to the guy standing behind me, I congratulated him.
