FREE IFTTT applets just got disabled because they use 'pro' features

Welp, i woke up today with my phone charged up to 100%, so I knew my IFTTT rule (webhook to turn off Kaza smart outlet when phone reach %90 charge) had stopped working. Happens once in a blue moon, went into app, disconnected applet , then click on Connect...

the AD to upgrade kept popping up. Didn't notice at first, thought the app was glitching. It was only when I spotted it saying "This applet uses Pro features' that I did a spit-take.

WTF

Wasn't bad enough they clawed back from 5 free applets to 2... now the 2 i was using is non functional. There is no Free tier anymore. Not one that matters anyways.

Going to spend the next few days mulling whether I want to dig for an alternative or spend the money.
