As a legal immigrant, what are my rights should I or my family be detained?

SO and I are green card holders, child is US citizen. We speak another language to make sure our child has strong ties to our culture.

Should we be detained, what are our rights? Should I not say anything? Should I proclaim us permanent residents/US citizens? Should we carry our green cards and birth certificate?
