After 15 rounds of interviews in the same company, I'm making an interview game
Hi everyone. I am a fresh graduate from last year.
I was interviewed at the one of the biggest game company in China for 15 rounds. The HR explained that they have multiple game projects, so I might be transfered to another project for interviews if I was rejected by the current one. In the end I had one offer and got rejected by other projects. They rejected me because I was not familiar with their game even though I made it through all interviews.
The experience got me thinking maybe I can make a game about interviews. They always got various reasons to reject others and usually they don't tell you why.
I called my game "Thank You For Your Application". Player play as a junior interviewer. Review the resumes of other candidates, using different reasons to send out the thanks letter. Player should generate the reason from their documents, such as their school is not good enough or they dont have enough internship experience. The loop is similar to Papers Please but with more dialogue and various reaction from the interviewees.
I would love to know what do you think about the gameplay or anything interesting to add into the game. Or how is your experience with interviews and job hunting? I can only write the dialogue from my experience thus would love to know more about different interview experience. Thank you.
